On April 15th I went with Alex to the Pitztaler glacier to ride two northfaces. First we hicked to the base of the Brochkogel and then we ascended with climbing irons to the top.

From the top we traversed a little bit to the drop in of the 55° steep with a vertical drop of 250m northface. In the face were perfect conditions ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... drop in

I was really happy about my first descent of a steep northface.

After this perfect run we hicked some meters up again and traversed to the top of the Taschach Icewall. This northface has a vertical drop of 600m and a steepness of 50°. We had nearly endless seeming beautiful turns with a clear blue sky.
